I would like to know who handles the finances that are received into your eldership?
Do you believe in tithes and offerings?

This question was submitted to us from "Tim" via the Internet.

Business matters are discussed with the entire assembly. The implementation of our decisions are handled by deacons or deaconesses.

On a more practical level, we are using the blessings that God has given us to meet the needs of others as the Spirit of God leads us. Each individual / family is free to give to any needy family or worthy charitable cause that they choose. No one is under any obligation to give at any time.

We do not believe that the New Testament teaches systematic tithing nor do we take up offerings during our meetings. We do have a box for anyone who chooses to give anonymously to support the expenses of our meetings, however no emphasis on giving or financial matters is discussed during the meetings. Our focus is on getting souls saved, not money. God has supplied for all of our needs using this method, for which we are grateful. Since we have no salaried staff or paid positions, nor do we own a building (we rent a conference room at a local hotel and also meet in homes), our financial obligations are minimal.
